In Massachusetts, public health workers, health care providers,
academic institutions, researchers, community organizations, and
cancer survivors are working together as members of the Massachusetts
Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition.
We know that cancer is
too big an issue for any one group to tackle alone. Our mission
is to reduce and end the suffering and death caused by cancer.
The Coalition has a Leadership Team made up of cancer continuum
experts who are active participants in one of the working group
and several at large members who are working leaders in one of
the top ranked cancer areas that the Coalition is addressing.
The
work of the Coalition is accomplished by all of its members working
in their specialty and catchment areas. Work is also accomplished
collaboratively in Coalition Working Groups mirroring the cancer
continuum and focusing on areas that represent the highest burden
of cancer.
